HOW TO ORDER

AT SACRED HEART SECONDARY SCHOOL

Your step-by-step guide on how to register and order school meals

With great pride, Food Village extends its service to the esteemed students and dedicated teaching staff at Sacred Heart Secondary School, Sunnyside, Drogheda, Co-Louth, A92K796. Discover an extensive array of more than 200 school meal options available daily. All orders are seamlessly placed through the user-friendly Food Village ordering App. Participation in this service is entirely optional for students, parents/guardians, and teaching staff alike.

Our commitment revolves around delivering a truthful, dependable, and nourishing school lunch experience, offering an impressive variety of delectable, healthful, and budget-friendly meals. Kindly refer to the following guidelines on how to download and register for the Food Village school lunch service mobile app.

I AM A STUDENT

STUDENT REGISTRATION
Complete the registration page, with your name, email address, phone number, and Class/Year Details.

Please use your school email address for your new Food Village Student account.
If you do not have access to your school email, please use any email available to you on the mobile phone you are using to register your account. As you need access to the email you are registering with to enter your OTP (One Time Passcode) to verify your email.

ALLERGENS
Select any Allergies you may have and ingredients you wish to remove from your menu. All allergens selected here will remove meals which contain those allergens from your menu. If you have no allergens please continue by selecting Save & Next.

SET YOUR PASSWORD:
Choose a password you will remember for logging into your Food Village account in the future. Enter your password twice and select register.

VERIFY ACCOUNT:
An email will be sent to the email address you used to register which contains a unique 4-digit OTP (One Time Password) Code. You need to go to the email you registered your account with to see this 4-digit code. Now you need to enter your 4-digit code into the box provided to verify your account.

If for any reason you have not received this code to your email address, please double-check the spelling of your email and click the pencil icon beside the email to edit any typos or misspellings which will resend you your OTP. 

ACCOUNT REGISTERED:
Once you have verified your email you will be brought to the dashboard of your new Food Village Student Account. From here you can access our full menu and start to place your Food Village orders.

LINKING TO A PARENT:
Students have the choice to independently manage their new student account by simply adding their own bank card to the wallet section within the Food Village app to top up credit.

Alternatively, students can easily link with a parent account. This allows your parent/guardian to control your wallet on your account. To link with a parent simply go to the Profile section of the main menu sidebar, and select Link to Parent/Guardian. Share your link with your Parent/Guardian so they can access your direct account.

I AM A PARENT

PARENTS CANNOT ORDER WITHOUT EITHER CREATING A STUDENT ACCOUNT OR LINKING WITH AN EXISTING STUDENT ACCOUNT.

Only student accounts can order from Food Village, while parent accounts have full access and control over their linked student accounts. 

We recommend students first set up their account and then parents link with the students. Below we have covered both options for setting up a parent account. 


PARENT REGISTRATION

Complete the registration page, with your name, email address and phone number.

ACCOUNT REGISTERED:
Once you have verified your email you will be brought to the next screen which asks you to either create a new student or link an existing student.

If you choose to CREATE A NEW STUDENT, please follow the steps from I am Student. Please note email addresses need to be unique for each account.

If you chose to LINK EXISTING STUDENT, please enter the email address your student used when registering for their account and confirm your student.

If your Student created an account first they can send you a link direct to their account by navigating to the Profile section of the main menu sidebar within their app and selecting Link to Parent/Guardian. Once the student has shared their account you can directly link with them.

Having a parent account, allows you to monitor your child/students’ orders, amend orders or place orders for them. It also allows you as the parent account to completely manage the wallet of their account. Students with a linked parent cannot see or access the card added to their account. You can add credit to their balance and set them a daily spending budget plus many more features.

STEP 5:

After you have registered your account with Food Village you can start placing orders with our chefs straight away. Please remember that Food Village is a cashless service and all orders must be paid for via the wallet with your app.

Download the Mobile APP, enter your school code and register with your School.

COLLECTION

Fast grab-and-go checkout. Simply scan your order code direct from your personal key tag to collect orders quickly and easily.

KEY TAG

Each student receives a unique key tag, which you scan to collect your order.

Link with Parents

Share your account with your parent so they can place orders for you or so they can add their card for topping up your wallet.

Setting up a Menu

Our adaptable ordering system empowers you to establish a menu that repeats either for a specific date or throughout the entire school year. You have the convenience to modify or cancel orders before they’re finalised and expertly prepared by our chefs.

Allergy Management

Our inbuilt allergy management system allows you to choose an allergen for your profile. When an allergen is selected, you will not see any menu items that contain that allergen so no accidental orders.

Pre-Paid Collection

Food Village service is a Cashless ordering facility. All items are pre-paid securely online via the wallet within your app. Orders are locked 30 hours before delivery to allow our team of chefs to make your order. You are only charged for your order when it it locked to our kitchen.
